Steve Burton (actor)

 Burton was an surfer named Chris Fuller in Out of This World 1987. Then he was on Days of Our Lives 1988 as Harris Michaels. He was a student at Theater Theater, Hollywood, California in the 1990s and was taught by Jon Cedar. Burton first appeared as Jason Morgan in the daytime soap series General Hospital in 1992. He won the Daytime Emmy Award in 1998 for Outstanding Supporting Actor in the Drama Series. Burton was also a guest actor on General Hospital: Night Shift's debut season in 2007. In 2001, Burton appeared with Robert Redford & James Gandolfini in Taken the science-fiction miniseries. Also, Burton is the voice actor for Cloud Strife in the Kingdom Hearts series, as well as in the majority of the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII. Burton recorded Cloud in the video game Kingdom Hearts and its sequel, Kingdom Hearts II. He has been part of the CGI film Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children as well as the video games Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, Dissidia Final Fantasy, and Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy.On August 28 2012, Burton confirmed that he would be leaving General Hospital in October. He joined The Young and the Restless cast as Dylan McAvoy on January 29th of 2013. On the 6th of October 2016, he announced via social media that his contract with the soap was to be terminated and that he would not anymore play the role of Dylan. He was subsequently awarded another Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor for his The Young and the Restless part in the year 2017. ABC Daytime announced in June 2017 that Burton would be returning to General Hospital. Burton was dismissed by General Hospital in November 2021 for refusing to follow the COVID-19 mandate to get vaccinated. [11] In April 2022, the announcement was made that Burton had joined the cast of Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem in his former Days of Our Lives role as Harris Michaels.
