Sanaa (Arabic pronunciation: San'a, San'a [s.an?a Yemeni ArabicSan'a]; Old South Arabian, Sn'w) Also called Sana'a, Sana'a, or Sana is the capital city of Yemen and is the center of Sanaa Governorate. While the city isn't part of the Governorate, it is the administrative center of "Amanat al-'Asima". The Yemeni constitution declares Sanaa the capital city. However it is the Yemeni administration's seat was moved to Aden following of the Houthi occupation. In the month of March, Yemen's President Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi declared Aden as the capital of temporary status. It is situated at 2,300 meters (7,500 feet) above sea level. The next highest mountains to Jabal An-Nabi Sho'ayb as well as Jabal Tiyal are the Sarawat Mountains that are the highest mountain within the nation. Sanaa is Yemen's largest city, with a population of 3,937kilo (2012). The larger Sanaa urban area comprises about 10% of Yemen's overall population by 2020.
