American filmmaker Kenneth Lauren Burns was born on July 29th, 1953. He is most well-known for his TV series as well as documentary films. The work of Burns is usually made by WETA-TV as well as the National Endowment for the Humanities and is it is distributed by PBS. He also served as the executive producer for The West (1996) and Cancer: The Emperor of All Maladies (2015). Burns documentary films received two Academy Award nominations for 1981's Brooklyn Bridge, and 1985's The Statue of Liberty. Burns has also received numerous Emmy Awards.
