 This article is about Rockville, Maryland's rapper. To find the rapper hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, see Y'all So Stupid.Logic started his career in music in the year 2010, with the release of his debut mixtape Young, Broke and Famous; he gained popularity with his Young Sinatra mixtape series, and the reaction to its third incarnation, Young Sinatra: Welcome to Forever (2013), which helped Logic secure a recording contract with Def Jam Recordings. Logic's first two studio albums -- Under Pressure (2014) and The Incredible True Story (2015) The Incredible True Story (2015) reached the top five spots on the U.S. The Billboard 200 was certified platinum while the first album was certified gold. The second album of Logic, Under Pressure (2014) hit number one in the United States. Everybody was also certified platinum. The lead single "1-800-273-8255" reached number three in the United States. Billboard Hot 100 was an international top-10 success. [6] He also released commercial mixtapes Bobby Tarantino. His fifth and fourth albums, YSIV (2018) as well as Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (2019) were both a similar commercial popularity, with the former featuring the hit single "Homicide", which peaked at number 5 on the Hot 100. [7] After his sixth album No Pressure (2020), Logic retired from the music industry; however, he returned to the music scene in 2021 with Bobby Tarantino III. Vinyl Days was his seventh album. It was his final album released by Def Jam. In 2022, Logic released Vinyl Days. The soundtrack was also released. The book was the New York Times' Best Seller, but the two works were generally greeted with negative reviews from critics. The author published his autobiography, This Bright Future, in 2021. [10] Logic is also a streamer, and is exclusively signed with Twitch and is the first musician to do so.
