Julie Newmar

 Julie Newmar, born Julia Chalene Newmeyer on 16 August 1933 is an American actress, singer, and dancer. She has been known for her many roles on stage and screen and on television. She is also an author, lingerie designer and real-estate mogul. For her performance in the role of Katrin Sveg, she won the Tony Award as Best Featured Actress In a Play. She also reprised the part in The Marriage-Go-Round in 1961. She appeared in two seasons of Batman (1966-1967) in the role of Catwoman during the 1960s. Other stage credits include the Ziegfeld Follies in 1956, Lola in Damn Yankees! In 1961, Irma la Douce 1965 in regional productions. Newmar was featured in the music video for George Michael's hit single in 1992, "Too Funky", and she was also a part of herself in the 1995 film To Wong Foo: Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar. Her voice work includes animated feature films Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders (2016), and Batman vs. Two-Face (2017). In these films, she reprised her role as Catwoman fifty years later than the original television series.
