Kenneth Max Copeland (born December 6 1936) is an American televangelist who is part of the charismatic movement. The organization he established in the year 1967, Eagle Mountain International Church Inc. (EMIC), is based in Tarrant County, Texas. His sermons are broadcast throughout the US and worldwide on the Victory Channel. [2Copeland's sermons are broadcast on the Victory Channel. Copeland also wrote a number of books and other materials.
He is a strong advocate of the prosperity gospel and is a participant in the Word of Faith movement. Copeland has written that church members can expect a "hundredfold" return from their investment by giving to God. Copeland has been criticized for using tax-exempt status and donations to fund a mansion and private jets, as well as other extravagant purchases. He was also a recording artist for Imperial Records. His single "Pledge of Love", which reached the Billboard Top 40 on April 20, 1957, was a soaring success at Copeland who devoted his entire life and ministry to spreading the gospel.
He was enrolled at Oral Roberts University in the fall 1967. He soon became a pilot and chauffeur for Oral Roberts.
