Wonder Woman was created by William Moulton Marston, an American psychologist and writer (pen name: Charles Moulton),[2]and Harry G. Peter. Marston's wife Elizabeth and their partner in life Olive Byrne are acknowledged as the source of inspiration to Wonder Woman's appearance on American comics published by DC Comics. The Justice League was founded by the character. Her first appearance appeared in All Star Comics #8 on October 21 September, 1941[99. The first appearance of her was published in Sensation Comics #1, January 1942. DC Comics has published the Wonder Woman title almost every day since then. Her name in her native nation, Themyscira (an island nation) is The Princess Diana of Themyscira. She may take on the identity of a civilian Diana Prince to blend into the society of her home. Wonder Woman's story of origin that spans from Golden to Bronze Age, relates that her mother queen, Hippolyta was sculpted by her mother from clay, and then gave her a new life as an Amazon. The Greek gods also blessed her with superhuman powers. DC altered her tale in 2011 when she revealed that she was the biological daughter of Zeus and Hippolyta. Her upbringing was with her mother and father, Antiope and Menalippe. Through the decades, the portrayal by DC of her character has changed. She briefly was unable to perform her duties during the mid-sixties. In the 80s, DC altered her background to show that she was Zeus's biological daughter and Hippolyta. A bracelet that is indestructible and an tiara which could be used as projectiles and, in earlier stories, a variety of gadgets based on Amazon technology were added.
