Zuckerberg attended Harvard University, where he founded Facebook in February 2004 along with his fellow students Eduardo Saverin, Andrew McCollum Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hughes. The website was initially created to colleges that had a select group of students. However, it grew quickly and eventually reached 1 billion users in 2012. Zuckerberg made the company public in May 2012 with majority stakes. He became the youngest self-made billionaire in the world when he was age 23. In Time magazine's Person of the Year honor, Zuckerberg was awarded in 2010. Zuckerberg was ranked 10th on the Forbes list of the World's Most Powerful People in December 2016. He was ranked 11th on the Forbes 400 list with an estimated wealth of $57.7billion. This is a drop from his rank as the third-richest American in 2021. He had a net worth $134.5billion. At the end of December 2022 his net worth was $42.4 billion according to the Forbes Real Time Billionaires making him the 26th most wealthy person in the world. A documentary on Zuckerberg's life, The Social Network, was released in 2010.
