Mary-Kate and Ashley appeared as Michelle Tanner on Full House's 1992 episode of the crossover show Hangin' with Mr. Cooper. The Olsens started appearing in their own films and TV shows when they were appearing in Full House. To Grandmother's House We Go was the first of these films that featured a number of Full House actors as cameos. The Olsens created Dualstar in 1993 and began producing the twins' films as well as videos, including 1993's Double, Double, Trouble and Trouble and Trouble and 1994’s How the West Was Fun. In 1994, a new series of musical mystery films called The Adventures of Mary-Kate & Ashley was released. The series continued until 1997. The Olsens made their debut feature film was It Takes Two in 1995 featuring Steve Guttenberg and Kirstie Ally. The Olsens also launched a second video series titled You're Invited to Mary-Kate & Ashley , that continued to release new episodes until the year 2000. They were guest stars in the episode of Sister Sister's 1997. In 1998, they were featured as guests on the show Sister Sister. While the show lasted only one season, it continued to be repeated on cable for a number of years. Billboard Dad was also released in 1998, which was the first of a series of direct-to-video films that featured the Olsens. The Challenge was the final of the films.
