Schwarzenegger began lifting weights at the age of 15 and was able to claim the Mr. Universe title at age 20 and subsequently took home the Mr. Olympia title seven times. He is widely considered to be one of the best bodybuilders in history, and has written numerous books and articles on bodybuilding. The Arnold Sports Festival, considered the second most important event in bodybuilding following Mr. Olympia, is named for him. He was a part of the cast in the documentary about bodybuilding Pumping Iron (1977). After retiring from bodybuilding, Schwarzenegger became a Hollywood action actor. He was the title character in the sci-fi film Terminator (1984), which was a smash at the box at the box office. The other action films that were successful include Commando (1985), The Running Man (1987), Predator (1987), Red Heat (1988), Total Recall (1990), and True Lies (1994), along with comedy films such as Twins (1988), Kindergarten Cop (1990), Junior (1994) as well as Jingle All the Way (1996). Oak Productions is his film production company.
