American actress Sanaa McCoy Lethan was born on September 19, 1971. She is the daughter of actress Eleanor McCoy and film director Stan Lathan. After appearing in the series In the House, Family Matters and Moesha Her career began to take off. Lathan later garnered further prominence after starring in the 1998 superhero film Blade; which followed with films in The Best Man (1999), Love & Basketball (2000), Disappearing Acts (2000), as well as Brown Sugar (2002). Sanaa Lathan made her Directorial Debut in the film On the Come Up in 2020. In 2004, her performance in the Broadway revival A Raisin in the Sun earned her a nomination for the Tony Awards as Best Featured actor in an Opera. In the following year, Lathan portrayed the role Alexa "Lex" Woods in the film Alien vs. Predator. In 2008, she got a leading role in The film The Family That Preys by Tyler Perry. Lathan was back in theatre in the year 2010, playing Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, an all-black production of the Novello Theatre. [2] The Christmas-themed sequel to The Best Man, she played Robyn again in The Best Man Holiday (2013). The actress was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award in Outstanding Guest Actress in Drama Series for her work on Succession. Voice actress from (2009 until 2013) she played Donna Tubbs in The Cleveland Show and all of the subsequent and concurrent Family Guy appearances, as in addition to Catwoman on Harley Quinn. Her other notable film credits include Out of Time (2003), Something New (2006), Wonderful World (2009), Contagion (2011), Repentance (2013), The Perfect Guy (2015), and The Perfect Guy (2015).
