American actor and director Elijah Jordan Wood was born on January 28th January 1981. Wood is best known for his character, Frodo Baggins, in the Lord of the Rings movie trilogy (2001-2003) as well as The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012). Wood made his debut on film in Back to the Future Part II (1989). When he was a child actor, his work was noticed for his parts in Paradise (1991), Paradise (1991), Radio Flyer (92), Forever Young (1992), The Adventures of Huck Fin (1993) and The Good Son (1993).
