Sean Connery

 Sir Sean Connery, born Thomas Connery on the 25th of August, 1930, died on October 31, 2020. He was an actor from Scotland. Scottish actor. Connery was the very first actor to portray the fictional British spy James Bond on film. Connery was a prominent actor in seven Bond films, between 1962 and 1983. [1][2][33 Connery played the character of Dr. No and was included in six Eon Productions entries. His final appearance was in Never Say Never Again. Connery began his acting career in small theaters and television productions prior to being chosen to play Bond. He wasn't a fan of the attention that Bond brought to him off-screen however, the Bond films did well and Connery was offered roles by Sidney Lumet, Alfred Hitchcock as well as John Huston. Connery was in Marnie (1964), The Hill (65), Murder on the Orient Express (74) as well as The Man Who Would be King (1975). A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (86), The Name of the Rose (86), The Untouchables (87), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (89), The Hunt for Red October (90), The Hunt for Red October (90), The Hunt for Red October (90), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996) and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery quit acting in the year 2006. But he returned briefly to voice-overs in the year 2012. His accomplishments in the field of film were acknowledged by the Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards which included the Fellowship Award, as well as three Golden Globes. These included the Cecil B. DeMille Award as well as the Henrietta Award. Connery was appointed Commander of the Order of Arts and Letters of France in 1987, and was awarded the US Kennedy Center Honors lifetime achievement award in 1999. Connery was awarded a knighthood for his contribution to drama on film during the 2000 New Year Honours.
