Zendaya Maree Stoermer Coleman (/z@n'deI.@Z@n-DAY-@ born September 1 in 1996) professionally known under the mononym Zendaya is an American actor and singer. She has been awarded numerous awards, including an award from the Golden Globe Award and two Primetime Emmy Awards. Time magazine named her one of the 100 most influential people around the globe on its annual list in 2022.Born and raised in Oakland, California, Zendaya began her career as a young performer and model. She made her TV debut in the role of Rocky Blue on the Disney Channel sitcom Shake It Up (2010-2013) and was the lead character in the sitcom K.C. Undercover (2015-2018), for the channel. The actress made her debut as a feature film in 2017 with Spider-Man: Homecoming. Later she appeared in sequels. Zendaya was the youngest recipient of the Primetime Emmy Awards in Outstanding Lead Actress in Drama Series (2019-present). Her role as Rue Bennett, a drug-addicted teenager, in HBO's popular teen drama Euphoria (2019-19) was what made her the youngest winner. Her films include The Greatest Showman (2017) and Malcolm & Marie (2021), as well as the epic science-fiction thriller Dune (2021).
