Thomas Cruise Mapother IV, born on July 3rd, 1962 is an American actor. He is among the highest-paid actors around the globe, [1] and has received numerous awards including an Honorary Palme d'Or, three Golden Globe Awards, as in addition to nominations for three Academy Awards. The films he has acted in have grossed more than 4 billion dollars in North America, and more than $11.1 billion worldwide. He is among the most popular actors around the globe. His performances in the dramatic films The Color of Money (1986), Rain Man (88) and Born on the Fourth of July (89) brought his praise from critics. He was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance as Ron Kovic in the film. He was a prominent Hollywood actor in the 90s. He was a part of several films that had a commercial success such as the romantic comedy A Few Good Men (1992) and the action thriller The Firm (93), the horror film Interview with the Vampire (1994) and the romantic comedy Jerry Maguire (1996).
