Chadwick Aaron Boseman (born 'boUzm@n29 November 1976 (August 28, 2020), was an American actor. Boseman received nominations for an Academy Award as well as two Screen Actors Guild Awards. He also won an Critics Choice Film Award as well as an Golden Globe Award and a Primetime Emmy Award. Boseman has also been nominated for the Academy Award. After studying the art of directing at Howard University, he began his professional career in the theatre. He was awarded an award of a Drama League Directing Fellowship, an acting AUDELCO, and an Jeff Award nomination, for his play, Deep Azure, in 2005. His first television role was as a regular on a series on the NBC drama Persons Unknown (2010). Then, he landed his first major part in the role of Jackie Robinson, a baseball player in the biographical film 42. From 2016 until 2019 the actor continued to appear in historic roles, such as the part as James Brown in Get On Up (2014) as well as the role as Thurgood Marshall in Marshall (2016). He appeared in four MCU films, including the eponymous 2018 film, which won the actor an NAACP Image Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award. Boseman was the first actor of color to play the MCU's primary role in a film. Boseman was the last time he portrayed the role as the main character on the Disney+ anthology series What If ...?. He was honored with a posthumous Primetime Emmy Award in Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance (2021).
