Sophie grew up in Los Angeles, California with parents who were entrepreneurial and her brother, Nicolas Mudd. Nicolas and Sophie attended Campbell Hall School, where they excelled in academics and sports. In March 2012, Sophie competed in "Delphic League Meet at Notre Dame High School" track and field competition and obtained the 12th spot on the long jump division. The family moved to Beverly Hills, California in one year. Mudd allegedly dated Conrad Hughes Hilton Jr. Conrad and Sophie were Facebook friends and followed each the other on Instagram in 2014.
