Orn is located in Phoenix, Arizona. Ponder attended Central High School, Phoenix. After graduating from high school, Ponder attended The King's College in New York City[66. After graduating from high school, Ponder attended the King's College in New York City. She sought a hostess role at ESPN Zone. There she got to know Ben Keeperman who is a college football researcher. This led to her working as an intern at the network, which later resulted in a research assistant job at ABC-TV. After Liberty's Senior Sports Director Bruce Carey offered her a job, she transferred to Liberty University. Then, she was employed as a sideline reporter for Pac-10 as well as Big 12 college football and basketball games. ESPN's Longhorn Network hired Ponder to be a sideline journalist on July 7, 2011. Ponder together with Kevin Dunn and Lowell Galindo were the newly formed network's first three talent hires. Ponder relocated to Austin, Texas after accepting her job with the Longhorn Network.
