Pyrlig

 Father Pyrlig, Father Beocca, Winchester and Wessex discuss the wedding coming up as well as Thyra (who Pyrlig describes as an odd beauty). He claims that there is nothing more attractive than a naked woman who has arms stretched out. The pair is with Alfred who is in the Reading Room. He recounts the raids that took place in Daneland. Father Pyrlig is assigned by Alfred to go to East Anglia in order to write a thank you note to King AEthelstan. "Episode 2.5" Father Pyrlig is captured by Sigefrid, Erik. He describes how the cross gradually eliminates people. It's a combination of torture and execution. Pyrlig is also scheduled to be executed. Instead, he requests his brothers to execute him swiftly. Father Pyrlig is able to escape because of Uhtred. Pyrlig is able to disarm Boltan, but saves his life. Sigefrid is rushing toward the square and kills Boltan. He also wants to learn the way Pyrlig was taught to fight. Pyrlig informs Sigefrid that he's an Briton. He was trained to kill Saxons. He gives Pyrlig an opportunity to join his army, but he chooses to turn Sigefrid away
