Nicholas Perry was born in Ukraine on the 19th of May 1992. He was adopted as a baby by an American family and raised in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Perry discovered his adoption in the early years and as a result acted out, which resulted in him attending therapy sessions and being prescribed antidepressants when seven years old. Perry was later diagnosed with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and attention deficit disorder (ADD). Perry was a freelance violinist, and also as an employee at Home Depot worker. He moved to New York City in 2013, to pursue his dream to play in a Broadway orchestra. But he was difficult to make a living in a city full of many skilled musicians.According to a YouTube video from 2016, Perry first met Orlin Home via a vegan Facebook group. After months of communication online, Home traveled from Colombia to meet Perry at the Woodstock Fruit Festival. They formed a bond after spending time together throughout Central America, and, in the early part of 2014, Perry left his musical career to join Home in Colombia.
