Michael T. Strahan (/'streIhaen/ STRAY-han; born on November 21, 1971)[1] is an American television personality, journalist, and former professional football player. He played the entirety of his professional career of 15 years as a defensive end with the New York Giants of the National Football League. He is a dominant rusher, and has the record with T. J. Watt for most NFL single-season quarterback sacks. In his last season, he helped the Giants beat the Patriots in Super Bowl XLII. featuring Kelly as well as Michael with Kelly Ripa from 2012 to 2016, for which the show was awarded two Daytime Emmy Awards, plus guest appearances on game shows as well as other shows. He was a frequent contributor to Good Morning America in 2014 and the network announced that Strahan would be departing Live! to join GMA full-time. Strahan is also host of the Pyramid game show for ABC. Strahan does charity work to benefit youth and community development among other causes.
