In 2008, DeVito starred as Anne Frank in the production of Anne Frank at the Intiman Theatre in Seattle, Washington In 2009 she was a part of La Piccola in the play The Miracle at Naples at the Huntington Theatre. Her first film appearance was the film Leaves of Grass; later the same year, DeVito was a part of her mother in an off-Broadway play Love, Loss, and What I Wore which was adapted by Nora and Delia Ephron. The show was performed at the Westside Theatre She portrayed the daughter of Danny DeVito's character the 2016 film The Comedian.In 2016, DeVito performed the role of Annelle Dupuy-Desoto in Steel Magnolias at the Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope, Pennsylvania. Marsha Mason directed the production that also included Patricia Richardson and Elaine Hendrix and Jessica Walter, Susan Sullivan as well as Jessica Walter. The production was most successful production at the Bucks County Playhouse. The show ran from June 9 to 9June 2016. She was the lead character in Elanor, a romantic comedy that premiered in Hot Mess in 2017.
