The Los Angeles Lakers selected Randle as the seventh overall pick during the 2014 NBA Draft. After just 14 minutes of NBA game time, Randle was injured by a fractured right tibia during the Lakers opening game of the 2014-15 season against the Houston Rockets. The injury was fixed by Randle, who was unable to play the rest of the season. He was discharged from surgery on March 9 in 2015. Randle missed the remainder of the season because of the injury. Randle scored 15 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the loss of 112-111 against the Minnesota Timberwolves. On December 2, Randle scored 15 points and a record-breaking 19 rebound in a win of 108-104 against the Washington Wizards. The Lakers scored 23 points in the loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on January 29th, 2016. In March, he tied the record of 23 points and 11 boards during a win against the Orlando Magic, 107-98. 20. His first career triple-double came on March 25 , scoring 13 points and 18 rebounds, and a record-breaking 10 assists, in a 116-105 loss to the Denver Nuggets. He was the first Lakers player to score an all-time triple-double, aged 21. [22] He broke a record for his career by grabbing 20 rebounds during the Clippers defeat of 91-81 on the 6th of April.
