Jared Goff

Goff who was a junior, was the quarterback who led the Bears to an 8-5 finish in the regular season. This was Cal's first win since the 2011. Mel Kiper Jr. and Todd McShay had projected Goff as the best quarterback of the 2016 NFL Draft. Goff won the win by 54-24 over Oregon State on November 14, 2015. Goff also earned Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week awards. Goff established a Cal single-game record of 542 passing yards beating Arizona State 48-46. He was awarded Player of the Week for the second time. Goff led the Bears to victory over Air Force in the 2015 Armed Forces Bowl with six touchdown passes and 467 yard passing. Goff also set the new Pac-12 single-season record (4,714) and set a new conference record for touchdown pass seasons. Goff is the first Cal quarterback to ever be given first-team All-Pac-12 distinction following Rodgers in 2004. Goff was a part of the team to an 8-5 Cal team that won a bowl game and a winning record for the first time since the year 2011 and also to win their first ever postseason game.
