Jackman Thomas Harlow, born on March 13, 1998, is an American rapper from Louisville. He started his career in 2015 and released several EPs and mixtapes before being signed by Don Cannon and DJ Drama's record label Generation Now in 2018, an imprint of Atlantic Records .Harlow's first major breakthrough came with the release of his single from 2020, "Whats Poppin." The track's popularity was helped by TikTok, and following a remix with rappers DaBaby, Tory Lanez, and Lil Wayne, it peaked at the second spot on the US Billboard Hot 100 and went on to receive a Grammy Award nomination. Harlow was part of XXL magazine's 2020 Freshman Class prior to releasing That's What They All Speak (2020), his first studio album. It was certified platinum in the US. Harlow's collaboration with Lil Nas X was "Industry Baby" in 2021. It reached the top spot on the Hot 100 and became Harlow's first chart-topper. Harlow's sophomore album, Come Home the Kids miss You, was released in 2022. The single "First Class" was Harlow's second number one smash on the Hot 100. He was also named Variety's Hitmaker for the Year and included in Forbes 30 Under 30. In 2022 Harlow was announced to be the actor in 2022.
