Bill Cosby

 William Henry Cosby Jr. (/'kazbi/ KOZ-bee; born on July 12, 1937) is an American comedian, actor, and media personality. He was a major contributor to American and African-American culture and was dubbed "America's Dad" for his portrayal of Cliff Huxtable on The Cosby Show (1984-1992). In his lengthy career, he was presented with numerous honorary degrees and prizes. A number of them were suspended after he was accused of assaulting a woman in 2014. He released a variety of comedy albums, including ones that earned him the Grammy Award in 1965 and 1970. Cosby also played a prominent role on the crime show I Spy (1965-1968) opposite Robert Culp. Cosby made history when he received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead actor in a Drama Series in 1966, making him the first African American to earn an Emmy Award for acting. His acting career continued when his role on the sitcom The Bill Cosby Show, which ran for two seasons, from 1969 to 1971.
