Frodo Baggins, a fictional character in J. R. R. Tolkien’s writings and one of the major characters of The Lord of the Rings, is Frodo Baggins. Frodo is a hobbit from the Shire who acquires the One Ring from his cousin Bilbo Baggins, who is known as "uncle", and undertakes the mission to destroy it in the fires of Mount Doom in Mordor. Frodo is mentioned in Tolkien’s posthumously published work The Silmarillion (and Unfinished Tales) He also changes as he grows in compassion and understanding, while avoiding violence. It is impossible for him to return to normal living after the Shire return. Two years later, the Ring's destruction has left him unable to return. Frodo's name is an Old English name Froda which is a reference to "wise through experiences." Some commentators believe he's an amalgamation of selflessness, courage, and fidelity. It's also not exciting and uninteresting, but he is able to grow through his quest to become a heroic person.
