Edward Holcroft

 Holcroft is the third child born to Lieutenant. Colonel Patrick Holcroft (a soldier) and Kathleen "Annie" Holcroft Roberts (nee Roberts) who was a former Conde Nast publisher. Oliver Holcroft is his elder brother, and was a former soldier who served as a member of the Grenadier Guards during Afghanistan. When he was 8 years old, Edward was taken to boarding schools. He was a student at Summer Fields School, Oxford and then Ampleforth College in North Yorkshire. After going to the music academy, he initially hoped to become a professional drummer , but changed to acting after being in the stage at Oxford Brookes University. After graduation from Oxford Brookes University, he pursued his studies at the Drama Centre London of Central Saint Martins University of the Arts London.
