Christopher Julius Rock, born 7 February 1965 is a famous American actor, comedian, and filmmaker. Famous for his work in the field of comic film stage, television, and stage He has won numerous distinctions, including three Grammy Awards for best comedy album, and four Primetime Emmy Awards as well as an Golden Globe Award nomination. He was ranked as the No. 5 on the list of Comedy Central's the 100 Greatest Stand-ups of All Time.He was also ranked as the No. Rock was a stand-up comic for many years , and appeared in a few roles, including Beverly Hills Cop II. He was also ranked No. 5 on the Rolling Stone's 50 Best Stand-up comics of All Time. In the course of his time on SNL He appeared in movies New Jack City, Boomerang and CB4, which he also wrote and produced. The show became a household name with the critically acclaimed Bring the Pain in 1996 as the second of his five HBO comedy specials. He wrote, developed, produced and narrated the sitcom Everybody Hates Chris (2005-2009) that was based on his earlier life. His talk show, The Chris Rock Show (2000-2000) was telecast by HBO.
