American rapper Sawetie's hit song "Best Friends" with Doja Cat (a fellow American singer and rapper), was released the 7th of January, 2021 as the third single off his debut studio album Pretty Bitch Music. The song was co-written by Asia Smith, Kaine and Theron Thomas. It was also recorded by Dr. Luke and Rocco did It again!. The first official remix has StefflonDon's voice on it as well as VaVa is who is a Chinese rapper, is the third. A thirdversion, featuring New Zealand rapper JessB and Australian singer Okenyo, a fourth, with South Korean singer Jamie and South Korean/Japanese rapper Chanmina and a fifth with German singer and rapper Katja Krasavice, were also released. The single debuted at number 1 in Germany and became the first number-one single by Doja Cat and Sawetie. The single also won Saweetie her first Video Music Award for Best Art Direction. The song was nominated as Best Rap Song at 64th Annual Grammy Awards.
