Tyrrell was born in Detroit in Michigan. He started tattooing at thirty. Tyrrell is famous for tattooing Kid Rock's back, and has been included in LA Ink, London Ink. Tyrrell was on the jury of the first Chaudesaigues Award in 2012, that recognizes the hard professional and artistic achievements of tattoo artists. Tyrrell was also a participant at the 2012 World Wide Tattoo Conference. Tyrrell was also a participant in the World Wide Tattoo 2012 Conference.
