Jensen Ackles

Ackles quit Days of our Lives 2000 to appear in Blonde which is a mini-series based on Marilyn Monroe's life. Ackles was also a candidate for the character as Clark Kent, the young Clark on Smallville. But actor Tom Welling offered the role. Then, he was a guest on the James Cameron television series Dark Angel on Fox in 2001. He played serial killer Ben/X5-493, the brother of main character Max/X5-452 (played by Jessica Alba). Ackles' character was killed in the episode. But he returned to the series as a regular series regular in season two as Alec/X5-494, Ben's sane-clone. Ackles worked steadily on the show through 2003. He was Jen Lindley's love interest and joined Dawson's Creek's finale season in the role of CJ. Afterward, Ackles filmed several episodes of the unaired series Still Life for Fox before it was abruptly dropped. Ackles also starred in an uncredited role in The Plight of Clownana, an upcoming short film from 2004. Ackles was the producer's initial choice to play Eliza Dushku's love interest on the second season of Tru Calling.] Ackles did not want to play the part, which was then given to Eric Christian Olsen and the character's name was changed to "Jensen"[8] because the producers of Tru Calling liked Ackles' name. [citation needed] Ackles returned to Vancouver in 2004, where Dark Angel was filmed, to play Eliza Dushku's love interest in the second season of Tru calling. [9] Ackles also had a prominent role in Devour, in which Ackles’ father, actor Alan Ackles also played the part as Jake Gray, the father of Ackles.
