 Robyn Rihanna was born February 20th, 1988 is a Barbadian singer, actress, and businesswoman. Born in Saint Michael and raised in Bridgetown, Barbados, Rihanna auditioned for American record producer Evan Rogers who invited her to the United States to record demo tapes. After signing to Def Jam in 2005, she quickly became famous when she released her first two studio albums: Music of the Sun (2005) and A Girl Like Me (2006) Both of them were heavily influenced by Caribbean music and peaked within the top 10 of the US Billboard 200 chart.Rihanna's third album, Good Girl Gone Bad (2007) included elements of dance-pop and established her status as a sex image in the music industry. The top charting single "Umbrella" earned Rihanna her first Grammy Award and catapulted her to global stardom. The next album she released was Rated R (2009) and Loud (2010) Talk That Talk (2011) and Unapologetic (2012) she continued to blend R&B with pop and dance genres. This was her debut Billboard 200 number-one single. The albums produced a number of chart-topping songs, such as "Rude Boy", "Only Girl (In the World)", "What's My Name? ", "S&M", "We Found Love", "Where Have You Been" and "Diamonds". Anti (2016) was her eighth studio album. It showed her new creative control after she left Def Jam. The album reached number two in the US and featured her top charting single, "Work". Rihanna worked with a variety of musicians throughout her career. These included Jay-Z and Kanye West, Jay-Z, Britney Spears and Eminem.
