 In 1993, she played "Second Girl" in The Hidden Room. It was her first acting on TV part. She played the Cowgirl in the TV series TekWar which was her first regular role. Jungleground (1995) was her debut film role. Doig was the main character in No Alibi, her 2000 film. Doig was also offered the role of the title character in Gene Roddenberry's sci-fi television show Andromeda.
