Taylor Alison Swift, born December 13, 1989, is an American artist and singer. Swift's discography includes many genres as well as her songwriting that is which is often in the form of her personal life, has received wide media attention and critical praise. Born in West Reading, Pennsylvania, Swift made the move to Nashville when she was 14 years old to become a country artist. She signed a songwriting deal with Sony/ATV Music Publishing in 2004 and a recording agreement with Big Machine Records in 2005. She was the first female country artist to write or co-write a U.S.-certified platinum album through Sony/ATV Music Publishing in 2004. The latter's "Love Story" and "You Belong with"You Belong with Me" were the first songs by a country artist to reach the top of the U.S. pop and all-genre airplay charts respectively. Red (2012) featured her debut Billboard Hot 100 song number one, "We Are Never Ever Going back Together". The singer abandoned country in 1989 (2014) the release of her synth-pop album. It was supported by the chart-topping singles "Shake It off", "Blank Space" and "Bad Blood". Reputation, a hip-hop-flavored album that featured the top-selling song "Look at What You Did to Me" Me Do", was inspired by media scrutiny.
