Mongeau describes an incident during which a person who was on her trip (later revealed as YouTuber iDubbz) told Mongeau to "say"Niger" in response to an email Mongeau wrote to iDubbz. He was mocking her use of the word"nigger" in YouTube videos. iDubbbz, in turn, made a video outlining her insanity, pointing out examples where she had previously and publicly used the word in a derogatory manner. On February 17, 2017, Mongeau posted a video in which she apologized for using the word.Mongeau's debut single, "Hefner", was released in November 2017. Bella Thorne was featured in the music video. In the same month, Mongeau was featured on an episode of Maury. Mongeau collaborated on a song called "Deadahh" with Lil Phag, and Dr. Woke. It was released on December 15th, 2017. Her second single, "W", was released on March 1, 2018. On August 31, 2018, she released her third solo single, "Fuck up".
