Shonda Lynn Rhimes, born on January 13, 1970, is a famous American TV screenwriter and producer. Her most prominent job is as showrunner, creator, head writer, and executive producer for the television medical drama Grey's Anatomy and its spin-off Private Practice. She also developed the political thriller series Scandal. Rhimes was also the executive producer of the ABC television series Off the Map and How to Get Away with Murder. She also was responsible for the creation of Grey's spin-off Station 19. In 2007 2013, 2013 and 2021, Time named Rhimes on their annual Time 100 list of the top 100 influential people in the world. The memoir Year of Yes: How to Dance It Out, Stand in the Sun, and be Your Own Person was released in the year 2015. Netflix revealed in the year 2017 that they had reached a multi-year agreement for development with Rhimes. All of her future shows will now be Netflix Original series. Netflix already had the rights to stream past seasons of Scandal and Grey's Anatomy.
