George Alexander Trebek[3] OC Trebek George Alexander [3] (July 22nd, 1941 – November 8, 2020] was a Canadian-American television presenter and host of an entertainment show. Jeopardy, a syndicated game show that focuses on general knowledge, is his most famous host. for 37 seasons from its return in 1984 until his death in 2020. Trebek hosted many other games shows, including Double Dare and High Rollers. He also was the host of Battlestars, Classic Concentration and The Wizard of Odds. He also appeared often as himself in numerous films and television series.A native of Canada, Trebek became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1998. 4 He won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Game Show Host eight times for his involvement in Jeopardy! He passed away on the 8th of November, 2020 aged 80 after a long struggle with the stage IV pancreatic cancer. Trebek was signed to host Jeopardy! until 2022.
