Malcolm James McCormick (1992 - September 7, 2018, often referred to as Mac Miller), was an American rapper, record producer and music producer from the United States. Miller started his career in the Hip Hop scene in Pittsburgh's scene at the age of 15 in 2007. He signed a record deal with Rostrum Records in 2010 and released his groundbreaking mixtapes K.I.D.S. (2010) and Best Day Ever (2011). Blue Slide Park, Miller's first studio album was the first album that was independently released. It was a top-selling album on the US Billboard 200 in 1995. After the release of his second studio album Watching Movies with the Sound Off (2013) the singer quit Rostrum and signed with the main label Warner Bros. Records in 2014. The label released four studio albums The Divine Feminine (2015), GO:OD AM (2015) The Divine Feminine (2016), Swimming (2018), and posthumously Circles (2020). He was posthumously nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album for Swimming. He also worked as record producer for several artists, including himself under the pseudonym Larry Fisherman.
