Lucy Verasamy

 Verasamy graduated from the University of Michigan. She trained as a meteorologist at The Press Association's Weather Centre (later changed its name to Meteogroup, Europe's Largest Private Weather Company) - writing weather forecasts for radio, television and newspapers. Verasamy had previously worked as a forecaster for the weather at Sky Weather Centre. She was hired by Sky in 2007 and started with a weekly Sky News feature called Climate Clinic - Ask Lucy. This was part of Sky News' Green Britain campaign. Verasamy answered the questions of people about climate change. In addition , she contributed to the Sky News The Weather Girls blog, she joined ITV Breakfast's Daybreak as a weather and environment reporter. 7 February 2012 was the day that McCabe was removed from the program and left Verasamy as the only weather forecaster. Verasamy, who was also a former weather forecaster, was dismissed on February 7, 2012.
