Laura Tobin

 Laura Elizabeth Tobin FRMS (born 10 October, 1981) is an English broadcast meteorologist. Prior to joining the ITV Breakfast program Daybreak, she was employed by the BBC. Daybreak was changed to Good Morning Britain in early 2014. Tobin is the presenter of the bulletins on weather. Tobin was born in Northampton. She attended Duston Upper School, gaining A-Levels in Mathematics, Physics and Art. Then, she earned a degree in Physics and Meteorology at the University of Reading. Tobin was also a World Meteorological Organization student on climate. She joined the Met Office in 2003 after having graduated. After her training was completed and assignments, Tobin was shifted to the Cardiff Weather Centre in October 2004 where she was taught how to broadcast on BBC Radio Wales. Tobin was assigned to RAF Brize Norton in 2005 to provide aeronautical meteorology briefings and reports to Royal Air Force transport crews and also to the media from BFBS (the British Forces Broadcasting Service). Tobin joined the BBC Weather Centre forecasters team at the close of 2007 and started to appear on BBC News, BBC World News and BBC Radio 5 Live. She also frequently was the weather presenter for BBC News at One on the BBC.On 3 September 2012 she was a part of the newly-relaunched breakfast program Daybreak as the weather host. Tobin was featured in BBC Radio 1's "Innuendo Bingo" on 18 July 2013. In April 2014, Daybreak was replaced by Good Morning Britain. [6] Tobin continues to host the weather updates on the programme. On April 28, 2014, she hosted her first show. Tobin appeared on her first show on 28 April 2014. The song was recorded to raise money to support Great Ormond Street Hospital. It was digitally released by an independent label Saga Entertainment on the 30th of November, 2018. The artist was The Celebs. The music video debuted exclusively with The Sun on 29 November 2018, and was first shown on television airing on Good Morning Britain on 30 November 2018. Aled Jones and Russell Watson interviewed Tobin about their new album. Tobin replied by singing an aria from the track, followed by "Stick it, Aled!" It reached number 2 on the iTunes chart. Tobin sang the opening lyrics to the song for charity Merry Christmas Everyone in 2020 during the COVID-19 crisis. It was released on digital format by an independent label Saga Entertainment on December 11 the 11th of December, 2020. Tobin performed with 31 other celebs, including Sam Bailey, Anna Nightingale Richard Arnold, Frank Bruno and Richard Arnold. The song was released digitally on December 11, 2020 by independent label Saga Entertainment. The music video was premiered on Good Morning Britain the day before its release. The track reached the top spot on the iTunes chart of the pop charts.
