Richards and Kyle were sisters and were sisters in The Car (1977). She was once more in a partnership together with Witch Mountain co-star Ike Eisenmann in the television movie made for TV Devil Dog: The Hound of Hell (1978). In the film of the same name, Assault on Precinct 13, she played a girl who was brutally killed after a gang member shot a bullet into her chest. As a young adult she was in Meatballs Part II (1984) as well as Tuff Turf (1985). In 1990, she co-produced the film Escape together with her husband, G. Monty Brinson.Richards appeared in a supporting role as Christina Ricci's estranged mother in Black Snake Moan (2006). Richards appeared briefly in Race to Witch Mountain (2008) as Tina who was a waitress. This was a slight variation of the Tia character she played in 1978 and 1975 films. Richards started appearing on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in 2010 along with her twin sister Kyle. Kim was fired as a full-time cast member after five seasons. This was because of her own struggles. In the sixth season, seventh and ninth, she was back as a guest on the show.
