Miller was a participant in Cycle 20 on the CW Network reality TV show America's Next Top Model in 2013. She competed against 15 other aspiring models. In the competition, Miller was one of the front-runners, having never been lower than fifth place after the first round, in which she was placed in the tenth spot. She was one of the top performers of her cycle, having won five challenges, and also received six first call-outs. Miller's photo of the photoshoot with paint was deemed by Tyra Banks as one of the finest photographs ever made throughout the time of the competition. Miller did not book any shows in the week of Week 8 of LA Style Fashion Week. The final runway show held in Bali, Miller faced difficulty after she slipped and fell on the stilettos she wore on her dress. The judges were impressed by her style, regardless of this. Despite this, Miller's ability to control her runway as well as her fluidity were all noted by the judges at the final deliberation. Miller would ultimately beat her rival Marvin Cortes in the season finale, becoming the twentieth winner of America's Next Top Model.Miller's victory also means she's the sixth contestant of America's Next Top Model to have never made an appearance in the bottom two places, together with Jaslene Gonzalez, McKey Sullivan, Nicole Fox, Krista White, Sophie Sumner and later winner India Gants. Miller was the second America's Next Top Model winner who not appeared in the third place. Nicole Fox, the cycle 13 winner, was present. Miller is the second winner of the show to be awarded six first-call-outs, following Ann Ward.
