Jimmy Page

 James Patrick Page OBE (born 9 January 1944) is an English musician who achieved international success as a guitarist and co-founder of the rock group Led Zeppelin. Page is prolific in creating guitar riffs. His style is comprised of various alternative guitar tunings and melodic solos, coupled with the distorted, aggressive guitar tone. His folk- and eastern-influenced acoustic music are also part of his style. He is also noted for playing his guitar using the bow of a cello to create an eerie sound to the music.Page started his career as a studio session guitarist in London and at the turn of the century, alongside Big Jim Sullivan, was one of the most sought-after session guitarists in Britain. He was part of the Yardbirds between 1966 and 1968. In 1968, when the Yardbirds broke up in 1968, he started Led Zeppelin, which was active from 1968 until the year 1980. After the death of John Bonham Page was part of several musical groups throughout the 1990s and 1980s. These included XYZ and the Firm and also the Honeydrippers and the Coverdale-Page. Page also participated in Page and Plant. Page has been a guest performer with many musicians since 2000. In 2007, he performed as part of a Led Zeppelin concert that was released in Celebration Day. Page was also a in the documentary It Might Get Loud (2008), which featured Jack White and the Edge.
