Bezos was the fifth-highest-income person worldwide and the richest between 2017 and 2021, according to Forbes and Bloomberg. He has a degree in electrical engineering and computer science. He was employed in Wall Street in a variety of related fields from 1986 until early 1994. Bezos created Amazon in late 1994, during a road trip between New York City and Seattle.
