Howie Long

 Long played football in college at Villanova University in Philadelphia, where he earned a communication degree. Four-time letterman for the Wildcats and was picked to participate in the Blue-Gray Football Classic and was named the winner in the year 1980. Long was a freshman, and was the starting quarterback in every game. He also recorded 99 tackles. In 1978, Long was a sophomore and commanded Villanova by securing five sacks. He also recorded 78 tackles. Long suffered an injury to his thigh, and missed three games. He finished the season with 46 total tackles. When he was a senior in the year 1980, Long again led the Wildcats with four sacks. He also recorded 84 tackles. He began as a tight end , but was transferred to the defensive line, playing mostly as a nose guard in his initial two seasons. Long was awarded All-East honors after moving to the defensive line and was Honorable Mention All-American during his senior year. 4. Long also boxed at Villanova and was the Northern Collegiate Heavyweight Boxing Champion.
