 The Tulsa Shock selected Johnson in the first round (fourth overall) of the 2012 WNBA Draft. In her debut season, she was ranked fourth in steals per game (a career-high 2.1 spg)In 2013 and 2014 the following year, which was her third and fourth seasons with the Shock, Johnson was named to the Western Conference All-Star team.Johnson in 2019Johnson sat out her 2015 WNBA season on a pregnancy leave following the announcement of her pregnancy.She returned just one month into the 2016 WNBA season following her suspension resulting from the domestic violence she experienced with Brittney Griner. The Tulsa Shock moved to Dallas at this point, and they were renamed Dallas Wings. Johnson had signed a new contract during free agency. 12 Johnson averaged 11.3 ppg in 18 games, with six games played. Johnson also posted the league's 16th 20 point and 20 rebound game of the regular season. This was in a victory against the Phoenix Mercury. Johnson scored 23 points, and also a record-breaking 22 rebound. On June 18 in 2017, Johnson scored a season-high of 27 points in an 87-83 win over the Washington Mystics.From July 31 to August 6, Johnson named the Western Conference player of the week. The 19th of August on the 19th of August in 2017, Johnson achieved her 13th double-double of the season, scoring 23 points along with 13 rebound in a win of 90-86 against the Atlanta Dream. Johnson hit Dream's point guard MateeAjavon during the game and was given a one-game suspension. [18] The Wings ended the season with a 16-18 record and were the 7th seed in the league. Johnson scored 15 points in her first playoff game and scored 14 rebound in the game against the Washington Mystics. Johnson also lost to the Mystics in the first round. Johnson's season in 2018 was a difficult one. Johnson suffered a couple of injuries that made her out of action and forced her to play certain games off of the bench. Johnson played in 29 games, including 17 games played. Her scoring average and rebounding were career lows. The Wings could still reach the playoffs with a record of 15-19 and would be seeded 8th in the league. They fell to the Phoenix Mercury in the first round.
