Eddie Hall

Hall was the first to win at the United Kingdom's Strongest Man 2011 contest in Belfast. Ken Nowicki and Rich Smith were in second and third place, respectively. Hall injured the tendons of his arm during the contest however he was hopeful of securing an invitation to the September edition of World's Strongest Man. The improved rankings didn't ensure him a place at WSM 2012, so Hall did not take part in the 2011 event. Hall was awarded the UK title and was chosen as the first option to take over Jono McFarlane of New Zealand at the Giants Live Melbourne event. He placed fourth in his first international event. In April 2012 Hall was invited to participate in Europe's Strongest Man. Hall was competing alongside six other finalist and also Zydrunas Svickas, a two-time winner of World's Strongest Man 2011. Hall was ranked eighth.
