Khaled Mohammed Khaled (born on 26 November 1975),[1] known professionally as DJ Khaled, is an American DJ and record executive, as well as a record producer and rapper. [2][3]
In the 90s, Khaled was first recognized as a radio host on 99 Jamz. He then was a DJ for Terror Squad to promote their live performances. In 2006, Khaled's debut album, Listennn...the Album, was released. It earned him the gold label. The album was followed up with We the Best (2007) that featured the top 20 single "I'm So Hood". The two albums that followed -We Global (2008) and Victory (2010) We Global (2008) and Victory (2010) The Victory album were released following the creation of the record label We the Best Music Group. Both albums charted in the top ten of the US Billboard 200, with the latter containing the track "All I Do Is Win" that was later certified triple platinum.His fifth studio album We the Best Forever (2011) also saw similar commercial success, and also helped in bringing Khaled to international fame due to the hit song "I'm on One" and was his first top ten hit. The sixth album and seventh, Kiss the Ring (2012) and Suffering from Suffering from (2013) both charted in the top 10 on the Billboard 200, and his eighth studio album called I Changed a Lot (2015) which peaked at 12. Because of his involvement on social media, Khaled gained global attention in the years 2015 and 2016. His ninth studio album Major Key (2016) was released. It brought about worldwide attention for Khaled as a celebrity on the media. It also included the singles "I'm The One" and “Wild Thoughts". These songs reached the top spot at numbers 1 and 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. The album was released at the top of the Billboard 200, and was also certified platinum. Father of Asahd was Khaled's eleventh album. It reached the top spot at 2 in the year 2019. The song "Higher" was awarded Best Sung/Rap Performance at this year's 62nd Annual Grammy Awards. This was Khaled’s first Grammy victory. In 2021, Khaled's twelveth album, Father of Asahd, was released. His book The Keys, which is currently in the New York Times bestsellers list and has been a huge success story. Khaled has also appeared as an actor, appearing in Spies disguised (2019) and Bad Boys for Life (2020Khaled was born on November 26, 1975, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Palestinian parents who immigrated to the United States. The brother of his Alec Ledd (Alaa Khaled) is an actor. Both of his parents are musicians and Khaled began to take an interest in soul and rap music as a child. His career in music was influenced by his work in a local Merry-Go-Round record store.
