Bill Cosby

 William Henry Cosby Jr. (/'kazbi/ KOZ-bee) born July 12, 1937) is a popular American comedian, actor and media personality. He has been a significant contributor to American and African American culture. He earned the moniker "America's Dad" because of his role as Cliff Huxtable on The Cosby Show (1984-1992). He has been awarded numerous honorary degrees and prizes during his entire career. A number of them were revoked after allegations of sexual assault against him in 2014. Throughout the decade, he released several standup comedy albums that brought him the Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album from 1965 until 1970. Cosby also played a prominent part in the crime television show I Spy (1965-1968) opposite Robert Culp. Cosby was the first African American to win an Emmy Award in acting when He won the Primetime Emmy Award in 1966 for Outstanding Lead Actor in the Drama Series. He continued his acting career as he starred on The Bill Cosby show, that ran for two seasons between 1969 and 1971.
